Privacy notice

For the prize draw at eBay Live, NEC, 16 September 2026. Last updated 24 August 2026.

This notice covers the personal data we collect when you enter our prize draw by scanning the QR code on our stand. It is separate from the privacy policy covering hubeurope.com.

Who we are

HubEurope is the data controller for the information you give us here. If you have any question about your data, or want it deleted, email chris@hubeurope.com and we will deal with it.

What we collect

Your name and email address — either typed in, or shared by Google, Microsoft or LinkedIn if you choose to sign in with one of those.
Your company, and your job title where the sign-in provider gives it to us.
What you tell us about your business — which sales channels you use and roughly how many parcels you ship. Both optional.
Which QR code you scanned, so we know whether people entered from the speaker, the tape measures, a staff badge or the stand signage.
The date and time you entered.

We do not collect your phone number, your location, or anything from your device beyond the above. We do not track you across other websites.

Why we hold it, and on what basis

To run the prize draw — we need your details to draw a winner and tell them they have won. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you entered a draw and we have to be able to contact the winner.
To send you marketing — only if you ticked the second box. Our lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

Ticking the marketing box is entirely optional. Your entry counts either way.

Who sees it

Only HubEurope staff. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with other exhibitors, with eBay, or with any third party for their own marketing.

The entry page runs on Amazon Web Services in Ireland, who process the data on our instructions as our supplier.

Winners

If you win we will contact you by email. We may announce the winner's first name and company on our stand screen and on our own channels. If you would rather we did not, tell us and we will not.

How long we keep it

If you did not opt into marketing: we delete your entry within 90 days of the draw.
If you did opt in: we keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. You can withdraw marketing consent whenever you like — every email we send has an unsubscribe link, or just reply and say stop. Email chris@hubeurope.com and we will action it within 30 days.

If you think we have handled your data badly you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
